Lebanon Appeal
The growing anti-government protests, political tensions, and economic crisis in Lebanon have had one certain and undisputed outcome; that the poor and needy suffer the hardest. Currently a quarter of the entire population is in poverty and 30% of the population are refugees including the Syrian refugees. The situation worsens as the currency tumbles and the crisis continues. The situation is so dire that citizens are committing suicide. Currently Lebanon is amongst the world’s most indebted countries.
Lebanon has the biggest heart on the global landscape with more refugees per citizen than any other country in the world!
Our role is to help. We can feed the hungry, clothe the cold and nourish the sick. We know our limits and only commit to what we can achieve. To help people stay warm we arrange blankets, heat beads, gas tanks and clothing. To help people stay healthy we arrange food packs, water and basic supplies.
